The global GNP is the combined gross national product of all the countries in the world. If we increased the global GNP then the crude death rate would go down but the crude birth rate would also go down as women started to enter the work place more and not be seen as solely baby makers. On the other hand we could make laws to limited the number of children people could have. If every family had two children and some of families had three children with a higher tax then the population would slowly go down and eventually level out. The third option ,which is currently what we are doing, is to just let nature take its corse. According to the demographic transition model the population will plato by 2050 with eleven billion people on earth. All in all, we should try and proactively increase the global GNP to try as a possible option to try and combat over population.
